What a smart dog!!!

Let me introduce you to my grand puppy. His name is Boston. He weighs approximately 100 # and is grand mix of half Rotweiller, quarter Great Dane and quarter golden Labrador retriever. Boston is nearly 3 years old and belongs to my son. I thought that having a dog would be good for my son to learn a sense of responsibility for another living being and perhaps prepare him for parenthood someday.

My son is good with his dog - he trained Boston and he sleeps in his room at night, however, my son is getting to the age when he wants to be independent. He is 22 years old and still lives at home because it is very expensive out there for a young man to establish a place of his own. We allow him the freedom to do what he wants and he is loving and considerate of us and his dog. Except for when his bff comes home on leave from college....then the dog and us old folks take back seat (of course).

Boston just came to me for a hug and he was trying to get Grandma to go feed him. Now, Grandma has never fed him since he was a very small puppy. I always have, however, when he wants me to be sure to go get his food, he bugs Grandma. Go figure!!! I told him to get get his bone and he did!!! What a smart dog!!
